1. AGENCY: Blue-Chip Training, Real Results

Saatchi & Saatchi - BBH - RKCR/Y&R – London
I grew up in some of the world’s most famous advertising agencies, working on brands like LEGO, McDonald’s, Virgin, Jaguar, Disney, Colgate, The Times. That’s where I learned discipline, process, and what it takes to deliver at scale.

Westinghouse – National TV Campaign
I wrote and directed the strategy and creative for Westinghouse Australia’s 2014-18 campaign. Millward Brown tested it in the Top 2% for purchase intent, Top 3% for appeal and talkability, Top 4% for enjoyment. It ran for four years unchanged; a testament to the campaign’s effectiveness.

2. FOUNDER: Building From Scratch

All About Me Films
I built a direct-to-consumer brand from nothing. To date it has delivered 50+ films, earned 30+ consecutive 5-star reviews, and built an 8,000+ social media following. Almost entirely grown through storytelling, content marketing, and customer advocacy.

One Clear Story
Most business strategy never gets used. I founded a consultancy that helps companies compresses complex strategy into one line everyone can remember, with simple systems to actually install it.

3. WRITER: Story as a Strategic Edge

Julia Morris Collaboration (2007–2021)
For more than a decade I helped shape and grow my ex-wife Julia’s brand. I wrote national campaigns (Westinghouse, Homestar), scripted Logie Award skits, and ghost-wrote her bestselling book.

Scholastic Book Deal
I’ve also signed a three-book children’s deal with Scholastic (2026–27), showing how story and voice can work across very different audiences.

4. OUT OF THE BOX: Bold Ideas That Cut Through

The One Line Strategy
I wrote and published a 20,000 word business strategy manual that codifies the methods I use at One Clear Story. It’s not just a book, it’s intended as a category-creation tool, and acts as a high-value lead magnet for the right clients.

JMOFest
I needed to keep Julia’s brand visible in Australian media while we were living in the US, and came up with JMOFest - The Julia Morris Film Festival; a cheeky TropFest parody featuring Julia Morris masks. Over 2 years, it generated over 200+ entries, tens of thousands in earned media, and raised $25K for breast cancer research.

WHY MY BACKGROUND HELPS YOU

I learned structure and rigour in agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi and BBH. As a founder I’ve had to be scrappy, make quick decisions, and build businesses without large budgets.

I can put frameworks around ideas, but I can also do the work myself: from writing and directing to editing in Final Cut Pro or building a site in Squarespace.

I also believe good creative has to do both: connect with people and support the numbers. That’s why I focus on work that earns attention and makes a difference commercially.
